Active Members Can NOW Sell Their Books at Club Meetings!
The Author's Table is a new feature for paid members of the club. The first three authors to show up at our meeting place at the DeVry Campus can bring copies of their published works to sell. Each author will be give a short amount of time to introduce the book during the meeting. Contact Carol Hall or Richard Scott for more information.

Guest Speaker for July
Now that you've finished pouring all that time, energy and creativity into writing, what comes next?
Why, finding an agent, acquisitions editor or publisher to move the project forward, of course.
Publisher and story editor Charlotte Cook and Jon James, an award-winning screenwriter and novelist, will be on hand to offer some tips on how to do just that at our next meeting, on July 23rd.
Their presentation on "Pitching to Publishing Professionals" will include an interactive workshop at which volunteers will be critiqued on their project pitching practices.
"We live in a world of first impressions," says Cook, who points out that not only does writing need to be polished, but the presentation in selling it as well.
